Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data Heurystix collects through heurystix.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English so it is easy to follow.
Who we are
Heurystix Technologies Private Limited ("Heurystix", "we", "us") is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected on this website. That means we decide how and why the data is used.

What we collect and why
1. Contact form. When you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. The form sends these details by email to vinod@heurystix.com. We use them only to reply to your enquiry and to continue any business discussion you start with us.
2. Website usage data (only if you accept cookies). If you accept analytics cookies, Microsoft Clarity records how you use the site. This includes the pages you view, your clicks, scrolling and mouse movements, your device and browser, your approximate location (based on your IP address) and how you arrived at the site. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to build profiles of you.
Consent and the legal basis
We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. The Rules were notified on 13 November 2025 and are coming into force in phases.
- Contact form: when you submit the form, you choose to share your details with us so that we can respond. We use them only for that purpose.
- Analytics cookies: we use these only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. Until you do, Clarity cookies stay off.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it. Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or email us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it.
Cookies and Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use the site, through heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity uses cookies to recognise repeat visits.
- When you first visit, you see a banner with Accept and Reject buttons. Clarity cookies are set only if you click Accept.
- If you reject, or don't choose, Clarity sets no cookies. It may still record each page view on its own, without linking your visits together.
- Masking is switched on in Clarity, so what you type into form fields is hidden and not recorded.
Microsoft acts as an independent controller for the data Clarity collects. Microsoft may also use this data for its own purposes, including providing Microsoft Advertising, as explained in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
How to opt out: click "Reject" on the banner, or change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers that help us run the site and our business:
- Microsoft: Microsoft Clarity (analytics) and Bing Webmaster Tools (search performance).
- Google: Google Search Console (search performance) and Google Workspace (our email provider, which receives and stores contact form emails). See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Railway: hosts our website.
Some of these providers may store data outside India. We allow this only where Indian law permits it. We may also disclose data if the law or a government authority requires us to.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: we keep these for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any business relationship that follows. We then keep them for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
- Clarity data: Microsoft keeps session recordings for 30 days. Heatmap and click data, favourited or labelled sessions, and a small sample of recordings are kept for up to 9 months.
After these periods, we delete the data.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards, including secure (HTTPS) connections, access limited to the people who need it, and accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access: ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correction and updating: ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw consent: at any time, as explained above.
- Nominate: name someone who can exercise your rights if you die or become unable to act.
- Grievance redressal: complain to us about how we handle your data.
To use any of these rights, email us. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. The law asks you to raise the issue with us first.
Children
This website is not directed at children. As the DPDP Act requires, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new tools or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on the site.
